Countries that suffered greatly based on history have made sure that what happened to them before will never happen to them again.
After China suffered in the hands of the Japanese, China resolved to develop and today no one run them over anyhow. After Nazi Germans dealt with the Jews in the World War, today Israel is small but very mighty. After Nazi Germans dealt with Russia, today Russia is very strong and mighty.
It is only black African nations that, after the slave trade, are still begging the westerners to come and colonise them again as they cannot run their businesses and do anything to help themselves.
They cant refine fuel, they cant produce anything, their military is nothing to write about.
